Without trust, an online marketing campaign cannot thrive. Unfortunately, many people have been burned by shady internet scams, and thus it’s harder to earn their trust.

Today, internet users are very cautious and wary of any information they find online because they either know someone or read of someone who was affected by online scams. A fair amount of effort is required to gain their trust. Here are a few ways to structure content to obtain a reader’s trust:

1. Focus on Quality Content

The frequency of posting content matters. Unfortunately, many bloggers take lessons learned to the extreme. To keep up with their prescribed quota, they post low-quality articles or videos, just to maintain an allotment with no incremental value – instead of attracting more visitors and customers, they end up driving them away.

Content speaks for the site it is on. If it contains poor grammar, it will reflect poorly on the site. Quantity will always matter but maintain a higher standard. When it comes down to choosing either, go for quality.

2. Provide Value

The reader’s primary concern is not the value of an offer but rather the reliability of content and consequently the website. While selling is the ultimate goal, this should not be the core purpose of the content. It must be more than a sales pitch.

Offers will differ from post to post. Some posts will provide solutions to common consumer problems. Others will discuss relevant news and how it can impact the industry or the readers themselves. It is imperative to entertain or inform the “audience” – a mix of both is often preferable.

Most people are more likely to trust the recommendation of someone they know an advertisement or an article. It’s why word-of-mouth marketing is so compelling. Social proof from strangers will often have the same impact.

For example, putting a small banner showing the number of Facebook followers can show that other people like the offers available and could put suspicious minds at ease.

4. Create a Strong Brand

The success of a marketing campaign is reliant on a consistent brand. A consistent effort makes for a dependable image. If it is blurred or confusing, people will have trouble figuring out what to expect from the brand; they’ll have trouble accepting the brand as a credible source.

A consistent tone, goals, and presentation are essential to attracting the right kind of people with an offer.

5. Post Consistently

Campaigns will be at risk by not creating content consistently, thus putting it in jeopardy. While posting every day is not required, sticking to a regular schedule is a must.

People will tune in when they expect something new, and if they don’t find it, they’ll look elsewhere, and pretty soon a competing site will win over the consumer’s need for fresh content.

6. Get Creative With Titles and Topics

The average person will see tens of articles scrolling through their social media feeds. They’ll see titles that run the gamut from click bait to annoying, and so many that they’ll end up with “article blindness,” where they just won’t notice average or commonly covered topics.

Use eye-catching titles to stand out. Don’t go for the most comfortable topics available; unless it pertains to something entirely new and unique. Strive for a catchy and unique title.

7. Keep the Conversation Going

Great content is an integral part of a marketing campaign, but they’re one-sided. To maximize value and improve trustworthiness, use conversation on social media to create dialogue. Ask readers what they thought and reply to their questions.

The ideal content marketing campaign can give a huge boost, but it will do little if people don’t trust articles and videos on it. Focusing on reliable, efficient and trustworthy content, will produce benefits after gaining trust.

Update: The date has arrived to obtain my free Ebook version however it is not available in either the paid or free version as of date of this update.

The Authors

A paperback sold at $17.99 and then offered for free as an ebook is worth investigating. Written by Chris Nash and, as the Email stated: Buck Flogging. The Man, The Myth, The LEGEND.

The back cover states Chris Nash is an expert at disseminating information that is easily understood by the reader.

And then there is Buck Flogging, a serial entrepreneur since 2007. I must have been living under a rock because I’ve never heard of him until now.

Information on the back cover describes him as being a recluse with several successful online ventures to his name.

Look Inside

The book gives insights on Internet Marketing using excerpts from 101 top notch marketing gurus. The one excerpt that convinced me to get the book was about doing it yourself in Internet Marketing and save a bundle.

The advice I sorely need. But then I might never leave home like Buck Flogging. Not good for social life and family relations.

The first chapter is in the form of Q&A, and it makes for pleasant reading. It is apparent from the first chapter the gain in years of internet marketing knowledge by reading this book.

Get Google to Rapidly Index Your New Domain

google new site indexAfter you upload your website to the host server, you probably want your website indexed as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, patience is necessary when working with search engines.

Search engine bots crawl the web at what seems like a slow pace when it is time to index your new site. You can, however, help speed up the process by using a few search engine optimization techniques.


Submit a Sitemap

Sitemaps are XML files that contain links to each of your pages. Sitemaps can have only one link or thousands of URLs that point to your inner pages. There are tools online that will crawl your site and create sitemaps for you. Once you have the sitemap created, it’s time to upload it to Google Webmaster Tools.

In your Google Webmaster Tools account, click the “Sitemaps” section. In this section, you have the ability to upload the sitemap you just created.

Upload it and wait until Google processes the URLs, this can take a few hours or a few days. Webmaster Tools take some time to process data, so the best way to check the status is to use the “site” operator in the search box. Type “search:yoursite.com” in Google’s search engine, and you’ll see if your pages are indexed.

Drop a Link on Your Favorite Forum

Google frowns upon Link-dropping, but if you are part of a busy community, adding a link to your signature and creating a post is one of the fastest ways to get your site indexed. Of course, you only want to use this tactic if you are a member of the forum and interact with the community.

Any other type of link-dropping on a forum is considered spam; this includes creating a profile just to add a backlink to your site. In fact, many forum owners add the “no follow” attribute to forum profiles to discourage spamming.

Add the Link to a Popular Directory

Adding your link to directories is not a good backlinking strategy, but one or two links on popular directories such as Yelp won’t hurt you.

You can even add your link to Yahoo, which is a large quality directory recognized by many search engine optimization experts. If the search engine often crawls the directory, it will index your site within a few hours.

Add the Link to Your Other Site

This method, of course, only works if you own another website, or if a friend owns a site, and is willing to give you a link. With both methods, crawling will occur frequently.

If crawling does occur often, it’s probably faster to add a sitemap to Webmaster Tools instead. You could even add a comment on your favorite blog with your link provided the blog owner doesn’t object to leaving your link in the comments section.

Pinging Services

Some sites promise you fast indexing for your pages. OneHourIndexing and PingFarm are two examples of these services. Some of these services cost money, but if you want your site indexed within a few hours, these services can be beneficial.

In summary, if waiting for search engines to index your site is testing your patience, hit refresh in your browser, take a break and use the time for other efforts. You can start doing competitor analysis, thinking of ways you can advertise, and determine your backlink strategy.

Burnt Toast & Cancer

Recent research by the British Food Standards Agency has indicated that acrylamide, a chemical which is produced when starchy foods are cooked at high temperatures, could increase the risk of cancer. The research applies to a range of foods, including bread, biscuits, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other root vegetables.

Experts are advising consumers to avoid eating overcooked starchy foods, like burnt toast and suggesting that shoppers avoid unhealthy snacks that contain high levels of acrylamide.

What’s the risk?

Acrylamide, the chemical which is produced when starchy foods are cooked at high temperatures, hasn’t been conclusively proven to cause cancer in humans but has been shown to cause cancer in animals.

It’s likely that similar effects will occur in humans, and the current scientific consensus is that reducing the levels of acrylamide in the diet is a good way to reduce your health risk.

It’s impossible to completely avoid acrylamide, but following cooking instructions carefully and avoiding certain foods are simple ways to reduce your intake.

Which foods are affected?

Acrylamide can be found in a wide range of starchy foods. As well as the obvious culprits, bread, and potatoes, varying levels of acrylamide are also found in crisps, biscuits, breakfast cereals, crackers, coffee and baby foods.

Higher levels of acrylamide are found in the browned or burnt areas of cooked foods, which is why experts are suggesting you ‘go for gold’ when making toast, aiming for a slice which is lightly browned but not blackened or burnt.

What can you do?

Lowering the levels of acrylamide in your diet is relatively simple, which is why the issue has been highlighted by the FSA. Many of the products which contain the highest levels of acrylamide, like crisps and biscuits, are already unhealthy when consumed in large amounts. By aiming to follow a healthy, balanced diet, you’re already on the way to keeping your acrylamide consumption low.

Boiling, steaming and microwaving are all ideal cooking methods if you want to reduce browning and lower the levels of acrylamide in your finished dish. You don’t have to avoid frying or roasting altogether, but should keep a close eye on food and remove items from the heat as soon as they’re cooked, rather than allowing them a longer time to brown.

The following is a review of padlockincome obtained from a video on online. The presentation starts out with a commentator stating “show me the money” and under the commentator is the name, Kevan Cowley. He then invites viewers with “let’s got to my laptop” – reminds me of “let’s go to the video” sports commentator.

The image below is similar to what appeared next on the screen.

Two days without spending money does not mean the ad was for free.  The next frame to appear was similar to the one below.

Your daily profit is referring to one of the two profits he made in two days. He stated he made another daily profit of the previous day of $44,672.80. Once the money making slides were done, the survey slide appeared.

The survey slide displayed a research conducted on people who were already working online or wanted to work online. And one of the several questions in the survey asked what was keeping them from earning real money online, and one of the highest answers on the survey was, more than 50{75d9170601b116c50b94827e4dce8cd04dd12ac6e18f635bdc3be90482b5439b} of responders could not write an email. So if they cannot write an email no way can they write content for their website.

The next slide displayed “a common trend in Email marketing statistics for 2017” according to smartinsights dot com. But the commentator said insights dot com.

Here follows a gist of the information appearing on the following slide: the slide showed a list of industries and the percentage of emails opened on the receiving end; referred to as “Average Open Rate” AOR for short. The highest AOR on the slide was for Arts and Artists with 27.23{75d9170601b116c50b94827e4dce8cd04dd12ac6e18f635bdc3be90482b5439b} followed closely by Agriculture and Food Services, Architecture and Construction just under 25 percent. E-commerce had an AOR of 16.75{75d9170601b116c50b94827e4dce8cd04dd12ac6e18f635bdc3be90482b5439b}.

Next was information on Click Through Rate (CTR) meaning a return email from the receiving end regarding either an offer, confirm, subscribe or attend a webinar, etc. The highest CTR was under three percent.

Next slide on the video was padlockincome campaign statistics showing two campaigns: “Delivered” refers to emails sent to. “Opened” shows the number of Emails opened after they were received, and “Clicked” are email replies.

Next, the video goes on to show an arrow pointing to an open rate of 158{75d9170601b116c50b94827e4dce8cd04dd12ac6e18f635bdc3be90482b5439b} and 17.8 percent at the other end of the arrow. Confusing to say the least.

Then came the sweetener after a few more statistics the commentator stated words to the effect: Instead of teaching people how to do internet marketing why not do it all for them. Why not give them “my best system,” a proven system that converts visitors to profit. A plug and play system that has no tools to learn, no emails to write and no tracking pixels to learn, no sales funnel to build, no experience required, so simple to set up, for all ages, can be done from anywhere in the world and does all the selling for you. So is this another done for you – DFY?  The video says it is a system that does it all for you so it is a DFY. Is DFY a scam?

Go Easy On Yourself

When that feeling of despondency sets in, it’s time to take a break and go easy on yourself. Let go of frustration, let go of that deep gnawing feeling of failure and look at the bright side of life. Did you miss a deadline for the first time in years? Don’t worry you are only human.

Take the day off mainly to relax but also to set a system in place where you would avoid future burnouts. Value your time. Calculate your hourly wage and outsource any time-consuming task way below your hourly wage.

One of the most frustrating setbacks occurs when you are midway through a task, and you suddenly realize it is all wrong. You must set a system and or procedure in place to mitigate the risk of having to start all over by doing it the right way always.

Even in sports with games that last an hour or more, you have short breaks. In Sports such as boxing, football, tennis, and baseball, the change up is a form of a slight pause. When working on a project for more than one hour take a short break.

If you’re a seasoned writer or a college student looking to finally finish that term paper, writer’s block could interfere with even your best efforts. This process is 100 percent normal and happens to all of us, but what are some ways you can combat writer’s block before it overtakes you, your sanity and your works? Here are some tips to overcome writer’s block:

Do some free writing!

Write about whatever comes to mind first and write in a stream of consciousness fashion. You could also purchase a writing prompts journal to liven up your writing routine and to combat writer’s block.

Go for a walk.

There’s nothing a little sunshine and fresh air can’t fix.

Go somewhere for some inspiration.

You don’t have to travel too far from your current location. People watch in the park or at your favorite local coffee shop. You can observe behaviors that could prompt you in the right direction. Plus, you could have your favorite cup of Joe to get your writing juices flowing.

Try to get rid of distractions.

There’s nothing that makes your inspiration and motivation falter like too many distractions. If you can, turn off your phone, and close all Internet browser tabs. Focus on you and your writing. Purchase writing software to get you in the zone, free from what can distract you.

Read a book.

Read something from one of your favorite authors to help you get some inspiration for your works. You could get a new idea for a person, place or thing or think about a source of information you didn’t think of before.

Do something fun.

Release your inner child. Play with something that allows you to create, like Legos, model ships in bottles, photography skills on Photoshop — anything that gets you in a creative mindset.

Listen to your favorite music.

The choice can vary from writer to writer. Some like to listen to classical music without lyrics to distract them. Others like to jam to heavy metal or gangster rap. Do whatever gets you in your writer’s zone so you can find that voice the mental block is hiding from you.

Spend time with a loved one.

We all need a break, even from our writer’s block when it becomes too overwhelming. Have lunch with a friend or make dinner for your significant other at home. Taking the time to have a conversation with someone else could be just what you need to come out of your writer’s fog.

Get physical.

Exercise to increase your heart rate. Running and other cardiovascular activities can boost your creativity. You can also do yoga.

Don’t avoid writing.

If you’re struggling to find the right words for your story or research paper, if you avoid writing, then you won’t overcome writer’s block. Don’t procrastinate until you feel so inclined to write or feel inspired by something. You also can’t pity yourself or think that you just aren’t good at writing at all.These tips and more will help you as you begin to get out of your writer’s block funk.

Wealthy Affiliate is an online organization offering a variety of services to enhance the online marketing experience of their members relatively fast.

Members refer to themselves as the community. The community is comparable to the community board of many sites but with a big difference – you do not need to go off site to communicate. Contact is right there after each course, or wherever there is a post, there are comments.

Comments by members are crucial for attaining know how in all courses and might be the secret reason why so many members are obtaining experience in a shorter time.

When I say shorter time, if you are a complete novice, I do not mean one week or one month. I’ve also been a victim of scams online, and I know the feeling.

The last scam got to me because they promised to have my website up and running in a week. So I bought in, paid almost $300.00 and got stuck because I had to build the site myself and I did not know how.

What they offered for training were some short videos. So I’m stuck at website editing and will get back to it once I’ve completed the level of training at Wealthy Affiliate to do so. But by then I would have lost out by not using my website for the entire subscription.

You get a good sense of the ambiance of Wealthy Affiliate (WA for short) community even though the connection is from a distance. Another interesting observation is members who renewed their membership after a hiatus, all are ecstatic to be back, and I keep asking myself if I ever stop would I be ecstatic to be back?

The saying goes, you don’t miss it till it’s gone – in this case, me leaving and missing WA. Well, I am online at Wealthy Affiliate every day, so I don’t think I will be leaving soon. It is similar to being online on a social site, but with a big difference – at WA you are monetizing or working towards monetizing your time online.

Once you’ve used or discovered all the resources WA offers its members; it would be difficult to leave to host somewhere else. There is no comparison
